We store your personal information we collect from you initially in a working file, which when completed is electronically imaged and stored, after which any paper is destroyed in our onsite shredder. In some cases, your file is archived and sent to an external data storage provider for a period of time. We only use storage providers located in Australia who are also regulated by the Privacy Act.
We ensure that your information is safe by protecting it from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. We maintain physical security over our paper and electronic data and premises, by using locks and security systems. We also maintain computer and network security; for example, we use firewalls (security measures for the Internet) and other security systems such as user identifiers and passwords to control access to computer systems where your information is stored. We ensure your information is safe by following the usual security procedures expected by our clients and in accordance with the Office of Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) guidelines.

We need to collect your personal information so that we can properly advise you about and assist you with, your insurance needs.
How we use and disclose your personal information
We provide your information to insurance companies and agents that provide insurance quotes and offer insurance terms to you. Your information may also be provided to the companies that deal with your insurance claim such as loss assessors and claims administrators. We also provide your information to the suppliers of our policy administration and broking systems that help us to provide our products and services to you. We do not trade, rent, or sell your information.
Information sent overseas
Your information may be given to an overseas:
· Insurer (e.g. Lloyd’s of London) if we are seeking insurance terms from an overseas insurer;
· Administrative service provider; or
· Reinsurer.
We will inform you of where the insurer, administrative service provider and/or reinsurer is located, if it is possible to do so at the time of advising you.
How you can access or correct your personal information
You can access your personal information, or seek a correction to it by writing to the Privacy Officer, C/- PO Box 3777, South Brisbane BC Qld 4101.
We do not charge for receiving a request for access to personal information or for complying with a correction request. We do however reserve the right to charge you for all reasonable costs and outgoings specifically incurred in meeting your request for information.
Your duty of disclosure
If you do not provide us with complete and accurate information, we cannot properly advise you, seek insurance terms for you, or assist with claims and you could breach your duty of disclosure.
